Tabet Tabet is a resilient and principled Lebanese figure, deeply committed to his nation's sovereignty and unity. With over 15 years of service in the Lebanese Army during the civil war, he stands as a passionate advocate for Lebanon's independence and freedom from foreign interference. As the symbolic leader of the Free Thabitoun Movement, Tabet empowers Lebanese citizens to reclaim their voice, representing a generation of patriots dedicated to dignity, reform, and national pride. His unwavering stance inspires hope and determination in the pursuit of a brighter future for Lebanon.

In recent years, Tabet has been actively involved in Lebanon's major protest movements, most notably the 2015–2016 "You Stink" movement and the October 2019 uprising. These demonstrations were fueled by growing public outrage over entrenched political corruption, environmental neglect, and the state’s failure to provide essential services like waste management, electricity, and clean water. The 2019 protests, which began in response to proposed taxes on messaging apps like WhatsApp, quickly escalated into a nationwide revolt against the entire sectarian political establishment. Millions of Lebanese from all religious and political backgrounds took to the streets demanding reform, accountability, and a complete overhaul of the system. Tabet’s presence and leadership during these movements were instrumental in unifying citizens and amplifying calls for justice and transparency.

Tabet has also remained an outspoken critic in the wake of the August 4, 2020 Beirut Port explosion—one of the largest non-nuclear blasts in history—which killed over 200 people, injured thousands, and devastated large parts of the capital. He condemned the government’s criminal negligence and called for a full, independent, and transparent investigation into the tragedy. For Tabet, the explosion was not just a disaster—it was a symptom of Lebanon’s deeper systemic rot, long enabled by political apathy and impunity.

Through his decades of service, activism, and moral clarity, Tabet Tabet continues to embody the resilience and resistance of the Lebanese people. His vision for a sovereign, united, and corruption-free Lebanon serves as a guiding light for the Free Thabitoun Movement and for all who believe in reclaiming Lebanon’s future with dignity, justice, and unwavering national pride.
