Mission Statement – The Free Thabitoun Movement

The Free Thabitoun Movement, founded and led by Tabet Tabet, is a national, people-driven initiative committed to restoring the sovereignty, dignity, and unity of Lebanon. Our mission is born out of Lebanon’s painful history—a history marked by civil war, foreign interference, systemic corruption, and the collapse of public trust in institutions. We stand as a voice for the people, calling for a renewed Lebanon: free from external control, independent in its decisions, united in its identity, and strong in its values.

We believe that Lebanon can no longer afford to be a playground for foreign agendas or internal power struggles. Our mission is to break this cycle. We are committed to rejecting all forms of foreign domination—whether political, military, or economic—and we believe in building a sovereign Lebanon that makes decisions in the best interest of its people, not at the behest of outside powers or divisive domestic factions.

At the heart of our movement is a profound commitment to national unity. We reject sectarianism, tribalism, and all forms of division that have kept the Lebanese people fragmented and powerless. Instead, we promote a national identity rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and collective memory. We believe that the future of Lebanon must be written by all its citizens—Muslims and Christians, locals and expatriates, from all walks of life—united by a common love for their homeland.

Our movement is equally dedicated to reforming and rebuilding Lebanon’s institutions on the basis of merit, transparency, and accountability. We believe in a government that serves the people—not one that exploits them. We envision a Lebanon where justice is blind, public funds are protected, and every citizen enjoys equal rights and equal access to opportunity. This includes economic recovery that prioritizes local industries, job creation, and youth empowerment, as well as education and healthcare systems that are modern, fair, and accessible to all.

Beyond domestic reform, The Free Thabitoun Movement takes a principled stand on foreign policy. We call for Lebanon to adopt a position of positive neutrality and balanced diplomacy. We believe Lebanon can and should maintain strong, respectful relationships with Arab nations, particularly those who have historically supported the Lebanese people. At the same time, we advocate for constructive partnerships with the broader international community, especially strategic allies such as the United States and European nations. We believe in global cooperation—not subjugation; in peace—not conflict.

Our international position is clear: Lebanon is not for sale, not for rent, and not for war. We will not allow our land to become a battlefield for foreign powers. We are committed to peace—not just the absence of war, but a deeper peace built on dialogue, justice, and coexistence. We seek to transform Lebanon into a regional example of what a free, inclusive, and peaceful state can look like when its people take control of their destiny.

The Free Thabitoun Movement is also a cultural and media platform. Through our website, news channels, video content, and public education initiatives, we aim to raise awareness, correct false narratives, and revive pride in Lebanon’s heritage and values. We strive to connect Lebanese citizens and the diaspora across the globe through a shared mission and a common voice.
We are not a political party. We are a national movement. We are not aligned with any faction. We are aligned with Lebanon. Our only loyalty is to the people and to the republic. We believe that real change will not come from waiting for others—it will come from us, the Lebanese, standing together with purpose and determination.
